📋 The Four Stages of Qadr

Allah's knowledge encompasses everything. He knows what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen. Nothing is hidden from His eternal knowledge.

"And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea." (Surah Al-An'am 6:59)

Allah has written everything in the Preserved Tablet (Al-Lawh al-Mahfuz). This includes the destinies of all creation, from the beginning to the end of time.

The Prophet ﷺ said: "The first thing that Allah created was the Pen. He said to it: 'Write.' It said: 'What shall I write?' He said: 'Write the decrees of everything until the Hour comes.'" (Sunan Abu Dawud)

Allah is the Creator of all things. He creates both the actions and the outcomes of those actions. Nothing exists except through His creative power.

"Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is, over all things, the Disposer of affairs." (Surah Az-Zumar 39:62)

One of the most common questions about Qadr is: "If everything is predetermined, do humans have free will?" The answer is a balance between divine sovereignty and human accountability.
