What is the Quran?

The Quran is the literal word of Allah, revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through Angel Jibreel over 23 years. It is the final and complete guidance for all of humanity.

ذَٰلِكَ الْكِتَابُ لَا رَيْبَ ۛ فِيهِ ۛ هُدًى لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ

یہ وہ کتاب ہے جس میں کوئی شک نہیں، پرہیزگاروں کے لیے ہدایت ہے

Structure of the Quran

The Quran consists of 114 Surahs (chapters), 30 Juz (parts), and approximately 6,236 Ayahs (verses). It was revealed over a period of 23 years in Makkah and Madinah.

وَإِنَّهُ لَكِتَابٌ عَزِيزٌ

اور بیشک یہ ایک عزت والی کتاب ہے

Universal Message

The Quran addresses all of humanity, regardless of race, nationality, or time period. It contains guidance on faith, worship, morality, law, and all aspects of life.

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ كَافَّةً لِّلنَّاسِ

Preservation

The Quran has been preserved in its original form, word for word, for over 1,400 years. Millions of Muslims have memorized the entire Quran (Huffaz).

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ

بیشک ہم نے ہی یہ ذکر نازل کیا ہے اور ہم ہی اس کی حفاظت کرنے والے ہیں
