"Faith is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and to believe in divine decree, both its good and its evil." — Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Sahih Muslim)

Tawheed ar-Rububiyyah

Belief that Allah is the sole Creator, Sustainer, and Controller of the universe.

Tawheed al-Uluhiyyah

Belief that Allah alone is worthy of worship.

Tawheed al-Asma wa Sifat

Belief in Allah's beautiful names and attributes as mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah.

🕊️ Pillar 2: Belief in the Angels (Malaikah)

Angels are creations of Allah, created from light, who carry out His commands without question. They are not divine beings and are not to be worshipped. Belief in angels is an integral part of Iman.

Jibreel (Gabriel) The angel of revelation who brought the Quran to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Mikaeel (Michael) The angel responsible for rain and provision.
Israfil The angel who will blow the Trumpet on the Day of Judgment.
Azrael The Angel of Death who takes souls at the time of death.

The Quran states: "The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and so have the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:285)

📚 Pillar 3: Belief in the Divine Books (Kutub)

Allah revealed divine books to various prophets as guidance for humanity. These books contain the same core message: the oneness of Allah and the call to worship Him alone.

  • The Quran — The final revelation to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, preserved in its original form.
  • The Torah (Tawrat) — Revealed to Prophet Musa (Moses).
  • The Psalms (Zabur) — Revealed to Prophet Dawud (David).
  • The Gospel (Injil) — Revealed to Prophet Isa (Jesus).
  • The Scrolls (Suhuf) — Revealed to Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham).

👥 Pillar 4: Belief in the Prophets (Rusul)

Allah sent prophets to every nation to guide people to the truth. The Quran mentions 25 prophets by name, but there were many more. Muhammad ﷺ is the final prophet and the seal of prophethood.

⏳ Pillar 5: Belief in the Last Day (Yawm al-Akhir)

Belief in the Day of Judgment is a central tenet of Islamic faith. It includes belief in the signs of the Hour, resurrection, gathering, reckoning, the scales, the bridge, Paradise, and Hellfire.

"Every soul will taste death. And you will be paid in full on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has succeeded." (Surah Al-Imran 3:185)

📜 Pillar 6: Belief in Divine Decree (Qadr)

Belief in Qadr means believing that everything that happens in the universe occurs by Allah's will and knowledge. However, belief in Qadr does not negate human free will. Humans are accountable for their choices.

📜 Knowledge

Allah knows everything that has happened and will happen.

✍️ Writing

Allah has written everything in the Preserved Tablet.

🕊️ Will

Nothing happens except by Allah's will.

🌍 Creation

Allah creates everything, including the actions of His servants.
